Our Albertan Steak Poutine brings together tender slices of juicy steak with crispy McCain® Superfries®, smothering it all in melted cheese curds and gravy. It’s truly the best of the west!

How to make it

  1. Cook McCain® Superfries® Straight Cut according to package directions. Season steak with salt and pepper.

  2. Heat oil in a cast iron pan over high heat. Add steak and cook until medium doneness, about 8 minutes, flipping halfway through cook time. Remove from pan and let rest for 10 minutes. Once rested cut into 1/4 inch slices.

  3. Meanwhile, heat gravy in microwave or in a small saucepan over medium heat until simmering.

  4. Transfer Superfries® to a platter, top with cheese curds, steak slices and gravy. Serve immediately.

Tip: remove steak from fridge and allow to reach room temperature before cooking
