Tasti Taters® Breakfast Casserole
The perfect dish for weekend brunch, McCain® Tasti Taters® are cooked with farm fresh eggs, smoky bacon, green onions, and cheese. Enjoy those tasty moments in life.
2 packages McCain® Cheesy Cheddar Tasti Taters®
1 Tbsp. butter, softened
60ml table cream 18%
250ml white onion, diced
125ml shredded cheddar cheese
125ml bacon, cooked and diced
60 ml green onion, chopped
- Preheat oven to 350F (176C).
- Butter a 9 x 9 baking dish, add McCain® Cheesy Cheddar Tasti Taters®, set aside.
- In a large mixing bowl, add eggs, milk, cream and a pinch of salt. Whisk.
- Add onions to the bowl and stir.
- Poor mixture over McCain® Cheesy Cheddar Tasti Taters®.
- Cover with foil and bake for 1 hour or until internal temperature reaches 160F (71C) and eggs are set.
- Remove foil and sprinkle the casserole with cheese and bacon pieces, bake uncovered for another 8-10 minutes until cheese has melted.
- Remove from oven, garnish with green onions. Serve warm.
